Holds a Master’s degree in Trombone Performance from the Lübeck University of Music in Germany, where he studied under Michael Ranzenberger, Thomas Bender, and Joachim Preu.
He began his musical journey in the wind ensemble club at Chiayi High School, where he was introduced to the trombone by his teacher, Chien Sheng-hsuan. He completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Music at National Kaohsiung Normal University, studying under Professor Tian Zhi-sheng. During his university years, he won the First Prize with Distinction in Trombone Solo at the National Student Music Competition for the 107th academic year.
While studying in Germany, he joined the Lübeck Philharmonic Orchestra and served as an intern member from 2023 to 2024. He also performed with the Flensburg Opera House as an auxiliary player.
After returning to Taiwan, he has focused on performance and teaching. He is currently the Principal Trombonist of the Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra and frequently performs with various ensembles, including the Duo Music Ensemble, the Chia-song Wind Orchestra, and the Taiwan Artists Symphony Orchestra. In teaching, he serves as the trombone instructor at Shui-shang Junior High School, Min-sheng Junior High School, Tainan Second High School’s Wind Ensemble, and the Kaohsiung Normal University Wind Ensemble.
