Yu-Hsiang Wang graduated in 2020 from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris (CRR de Paris) with a Diplôme d’Études Musicales (D.E.M.) in music education and performance. During his studies, he was mentored by Christian Wirth, principal saxophonist of the French Republican Guard Band (La Garde Républicaine), as well as Yann Lemarie and Chiharu Lemarie from the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, along with Dr. Ku Po-Yuan and Dr. Wu Chih-Huan.
Currently, Wang is dedicated to promoting saxophone education in Taiwan, as well as fostering appreciation for contemporary music and performing arts.
He has achieved notable recognition in international competitions, reaching the semifinals of the prestigious 2017 Jean-Marie Londeix Saxophone Competition. In 2019, he won First Prize in the soloist category at the Concours de Saxophone Parisien. From 2020 to 2024, he held solo recitals at major venues including the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying), the National Taichung Theater, and the National Concert Hall in Taipei.
Previously a member of the Art-Express Saxophone Quartet, he currently serves as the principal saxophonist of the Kaohsiung Wind Orchestra.
