Graduated with a Master’s degree in Music, specializing in bassoon, from National Taiwan Normal University, where he studied under Professor Chien Kai-yu. He has also received instruction from Qiu Qian-huang, Tsai Hui-wen, Hsiong Chih-ling, and Chang Hsian-hui.
Currently serves as the Principal Bassoonist for the Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra. Frequently invited to participate in various performance activities, he has been a bassoon and contrabassoon player with the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra since 2022 and has collaborated with the National Symphony Orchestra, Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, and various symphony and chamber orchestras across Taiwan.
He has excelled in concerto selection competitions: in 2013, he performed Weber’s “Bassoon Concerto” with the Fengxi Junior High School Orchestra; in 2020, he played Beethoven’s “Bassoon Concert Piece” with the National Taipei University of Education Orchestra; and in 2022, he performed Rossini’s “Bassoon Concerto” with the National Taiwan Normal University Orchestra. In 2021, he was awarded the”Yushan Talent Cultivation” Humanities Scholarship by Yushan Bank.
